1. The People

All of our customers we interact with at My Storage Lowell are just great people. When you’re a business, your customers are everything. We wouldn’t be running without the great support from the people of Lowell, and we’ve been fortunate to be able to expand recently with more units.

2. The Location

The city where two rivers meet, Lowell has a unique location that offers plenty to do! It's also just a 15 minute drive to Grand Rapids. It’s also a great location for us, just a short drive to My Storage Ionia and My Storage Greenville, our two other storage facilities in the area.

3. It's Our Hometown!

Our CEO, Mr. Gabe Dean is a Lowell guy. From the Lowell High School Class of 2012, Gabe played football and wrestled for Lowell before heading to Cornell. He's not the only Lowellian who has found their home at My Storage Lowell. Most of our manufacturing team and office staff also has roots in the Lowell area.

4. The Business Camraderie

There’s over 300 businesses in Lowell which for a small town, is pretty crazy to think about. We’re working with several of the businesses listed here to help with promoting eachother, and that’s just what it’s all about if you’re a business owner. We all want eachother to grow and succeed.

5. The Events

With events like Riverwalk on the second weekend in July on the schedule, there's plenty to love about events in Lowell. Riverwalk is the town’s annual fundraiser and features a duck race, food, entertainment, and fireworks. Speaking of entertainment, you can listen to local area bands on the riverwalk as a part of the city’s summer concert series. Pink Arrow is also a mainstay in Lowell for 15 years now, one of the nation’s first cause games, Lowell sports teams will wear pink and is joined by the crowd to raise money for Lowell’s Pink Arrow Project.

The Fallasburg Arts Festival, Harvest Celebration, and annual events like Christmas Through Lowell are great ways to interact with others and get out there.

6. Great Lakes Land Holdings and our Manufacturing Facility

Did you know all of our storage units are built right here in Lowell? At My Storage Great Lakes, we take pride in the fact that each storage unit is built by hand at one of our three manufacturing facilities, Lowell, MI,  Decatur, AL and Bismarck, ND! All of the storage units at My Storage Lowell come from our Lowell manufacturing facility. We manufacture two sizes of steel storage units to be delivered to your place of business; an 8’ x 12.5’, and a 10’ x 16.5’. These attractive steel storage buildings are built to last with welded framing consisting of 11 & 14 gauge structural steel, 26 gauge metal siding/roof with a 40-year silicone polyester paint. For orders of 35 or more ask about color matching your existing units.

7. Downtown

The Downtown Lowell Historic District was registered in the National Register of Historic Places in 1999, and man is it a great place to walk. With plenty of area businesses to support alongside it as well.

8. The Food

Whether it's breakfast at a longtime landmark location like Keiser's or dinner at one of the new breweries in town New Union, there's so much to love about the food here in Lowell. You can get anything from southern food at Magnolia, to mexican food at Sabor Mexicano. One of our favorite spots to hit up is Ball’s Softee Creme, which has been in Lowell over 51 years! There’s plenty of new spots for frozen deserts too, including Kona Ice, Corner Stop Ice Cream, and there’s even a Culver’s in town now!

9. Outdoor Activities

Our employees loves the outdoors, and Lowell has plenty of great spots. Kayaking down the Flat River or fishing near the dam. Lowell is home to the North Country Trail Association Headquarters, so there's plenty of great trails to check out. There are pickleball courts which are really a popular spot to be at in the summer, they’re being remodeled now but we’ll be out there as soon as they’re ready. The local golf course in town, Arrowhead, hosts both the Lowell High School Boys and Girls Golf teams, and we’ve lost plenty of golf balls out there as well!

If you love winter sports, Cannonsburg ski area isn't far from town to the northwest, and a small ice rink has been set up in recent years for ice skating.
